INTRODUCTION DAY: ONE DAY (EXTENDABLE TO TWO)

Basics of space, astronomy and spatial disorientation training.
We welcome you at the Euro Space Center (Redu Belgium) and usually start with a live interactive lecture, given by Nancy Vermeulen that takes you into the world of astronomy, air and space travel. That is followed by an incredibly exciting planetarium show. Thereafter you will discover the solar system and the universe more in-depth.

This training can be extended with a flying lesson in a flight simulator (extra day).

SPACE FLIGHT SIMULATOR: ONE EVENING + ONE DAY

This training takes place inside the Desdemona Aerospace simulator at Soesterberg Air Base (The Netherlands) and is the closest simulation that exists of a real space flight.
The training consists of two parts:
PART 1: Travel to the Moon, dock with the International Space Station "ISS" and learn to land a spacecraft yourself.
After lunch we continue with PART 2: A complete simulation of a suborbital commercial spaceflight.

ZERO GRAVITY FLIGHT: ONE DAY

We start with a half day course about the basics of human factors and situational awareness. This will then be followed by a snack – it’s important, after all, that you don’t go on the flight on an empty stomach. The flight will be done in a Cessna Citation jet and takes about an hour, during which 5 - 7 parabolic manoeuvres will be performed. During each manoeuvre you will be weightless for about 10 - 15 seconds. Thereafter there will be a short ceremony.

MARS INTRODUCTION DAY: ONE DAY

During this Mars introduction day, you will find out everything you ever wanted to know about the Red Planet from Nancy Vermeulen, who was the commander of a Mars simulation mission in Utah.

HIGH - G TRAINING IN A CENTRIFUGE: ONE DAY

During this simulation, we expose your body to the same high-g acceleration that an astronaut can experience in space. Find out how much g you can handle! Learn to cope with extreme high accelerations up to 6 g.
Location: Center for Man in Aviation, Soesterberg, in collaboration with Desdemona.

HIGH - ALTITUDE TRAINING IN A HYPOBARIC ROOM: ONE DAY

What happens if there is a loss of pressure in your cabin while you are travelling in space? During this training, you prepare for this emergency under the skilled supervision of our experts. Test your personal limits at extreme high altitudes.
